How can I remove the TC module without screwing anything up?

Re: Removing Traction Control module???

If you are talking about the electronics module (the EBCM box above your left foot under the dash), and if you want to retain ABS it would involve replacing the EBCM with one from a ABS only camaro. I haven't heard of anyone actually doing it however. Typically both abs and traction control get removed at the same time.

I muset be confused then cause I was refering to the big module thing that sits above the drivers side valve cover. I thought that was the TC module and Cruise Control?? Whatever it is, it gets in my way quite a bit and was wondering if it could be removed easily.

Re: Removing Traction Control module???

I see what you were thinking of. That can be done. Basically purchase the accelerator and cruise control cable for a non traction control model and swap them out. Here's what I did.

The other part of the traction control system involves the rear brakes, and that part might still function. Probably if you just unplug the electrical connector to the traction control brake unit that would be disabled. The only thing I don't know is how interrelated the ABS system is with the traction control system in the EBCM and if the ABS system would be impacted (other than warning lights on the dash).

Hope that helps.
