Removing rev limiter

I am about to install a Mallory 685 box for using with my nitrous, and will be using the rev limiter with it. Is there anyway to remove my stock rev limiter other than a tune? I had it moved to 6000 when I got my tune, but I would rather have the box controlling it now.

My hypertech unit allows for the adjustment. I would assume you could have both the box and the computer do it for double protection. I have them both working but made the box slightly higher.

If you want to change the stock rev limiter, you are stuck having to have the PCM tuned.

Ok, thanks for the info. I guess I will just use em both, and maybe have my stock limiter removed or upped next time I get a re-tune.

I moved mine to 6600 which is the maximum with my hpp. I know you'd like to read something where you can tweak or disable it but it looks like you need to have it tuned out one way or another.

Do not put the stock rev limiter in your operation range because rev limiter disables the fuel injectors and using that with nitrous = boom.
