Removing Rad

I'm dropping in a rad I got from www.sybersport.ca

$450 u.s.

What tools do I need?

How long does it take?

Anything to watch for?

Really fricken cold out so I don't want to get under the car and check right now.

Can't find my Haynes either.

Anyone have a step by step guide on the net?

Radiator isnt held in by anything but the shroud above it.. ya know big black plastic peice.

Use a socket wrench to get the 3 bolts out. then get under the car, unplug the fans, pull them straight up, and wala, there's your radiator.

Didnt see ya sig, so if ya have A4 your tranny lines will run into it, remove and plug those.

Take a flathead and loosen your hoses, and pop em off. you have an upper and lower, as well as the overflow tank.

Have fun man

So no special disconnect tools needed for any of the fittings?

No bolts holding the rad fans in? Everything slides up?

Although, you might find the fans come out easier from the bottom. It depends on how much stuff is out of the way up top. You pull up to get them out of their hangars and then let it down through the bottom. Not hard with the car on ramps.

This is an aftermarket 4 core all aluminum rad Trey.

With my stock rad I was running right under the red.

Other rads on the net of the same quality were $550-$600.

Thanx Shoebox & Bawls!

I find it easier to take fans out the bottom too..
Also, there are 4 rad hoses... inlet, outlet, bypass, and overflow..

Just came from the garage.

Funny I thought it would be a lot harder.

I'll yank it out when its warmer out.

weird, my 383 runs just as cool as the 350
you sure its not a water pump, clogged coolant line or air in the system?
