Removing crankshaft pulley
What is the best way to hold the crankshaft pulley still while trying to remove the three bolts that hold it in place? When I try to loosen those bolts, the pulley turns... I looked at the diagram on Shoebox's site, but it's still not clear...
Time to break out the Helm Manual... Thanks, Steve |
Re: Removing crankshaft pulley
just leave the belt on it and try to break them loose, the compression of the engine should hold it from turning over, it works on mine but you really shouldve even need the belt on it

Re: Removing crankshaft pulley
I'll try putting the belt back on and see if that helps... The Helm manual didn't offer any suggestions...
Thanks, Any other suggestions? |
Re: Removing crankshaft pulley
Putting the belt back on worked.
Thanks, Steve |
Re: Removing crankshaft pulley
Glad that worked.
For the next person that searches - just put a breaker bar on the big bolt in the middle. |
