Thumbs up

It is really not that hard if you know what you are looking at. The hard part is getting the damn tubing out of the car whole. I ended up using a small tubing cutter & cut the tubing into 3 peices to get it out. There was a small bracket that held the tubing on under/behind the power steering pump that I could not get off. Then you just have to find something to plug the bungs on the intake manifolds.

Like this... Plugged Exhaust Manifold A.I.R. Bung

Then remove the pump itself & bracket isn't needed either. Then plug the bung on the CAI that the rubber tube is connected to with something. I believe some people have said if they pull the fuse for the A.I.R. pump that they don't get a code. I had mind deleted in programming. It really does clean things up in there.

Good Luck.

What did you use to PLUG the AIR bungs? I cant pull the fuse on my 97 cuz I believe it shares controls with the fans... I can live with the ses light for a while, is there any way to jump it so the pc reads it as still on, I'm gonna do a pcm for less program, but that wont be til I get the headers in and the egr removed as well......

The 97 Air-Bung threads are 3/4-16 thread plug. You will need to program out the Air system out though, either with LT1 Edit, or an aftermarket mail-order tune.

I used some 3/4 - 16" treaded rod & welded a nut on the ends of the rods then I put it on the lathe at work to make them look nice & Machined... If you want some I can make some up for you at work...

You have stock manifolds? If so I think you might be right?

Yes, the older ones were different. A 95 prolly uses a M22 metric plug. It's a little bigger than the 3/4" plug. I'm not sure what year they changed. 1996?
