Just be careful... I've heard of wiring problems being developed because of these installs. If people crimp instead of solder/heat shrink, it can cause interference with the PCM and cause drivablility issues later. Remember to solder and stay away from any yellow harness (SRS).

It's possible. To get around that you'll have to neutralize your clutch inhibitor switch to always 'on'. Just don't leave your car in gear when you hit the button or it will lunge forward.

I know a few import guys with remote start on their 5 speeds. If it is left in gear it will lurch forward when they try to start it.

Your best bet is to get a starter made for standard transmissions, It is a pain in the *** because you have to set it when you get out, but It is alot safer then putting an automatic one in because it will jump forward If you leave it in gear. It would be funny to watch, cause if it actualy started while in gear your car would drive off.

Normally remote start/alarm units for manual transmissions have a safety feature that works very well. The process normally is:

Pull up to your parking spot.
Leave vehicle running.
Place vehicle in neutral.
Depress brake pedal and hold.
Apply emergency brake.
Let off of brake pedal after engaging parking brake.
You can now turn off the ignition and remove the key.
The engine will continue to run.
Exit the vehicle and arm the system.
The engine will then cut off and is ready for remote start operation.
The only problem could be if your emergency brake ever failed while parked on an incline...

DEFINITELY don't put an automatic transmission model on a manual transmission vehicle.

A torquey engine will crank and take off!!!

Just like he said. That is what you do for this model. I have it on my M6. It is full proof when it comes to remote start.
Sorry no instructions I had a professional install the whole thing for $200. It was a lot of wires.

For power, tap into the power junction under the hood and run a junction for power inside the cabin. From that point you can get your power as well as for amplifiers, stereo, etc.

As for the remote start, it should have a wiring diagram.

Do not tap into any yellow wires/tubing... or your SRS could go off.

It can be done! I have had my viper remote start on my M6 car for 4 years now. Just bypass the neutral switch under the clutch pedal and get in the habit of leaving it in neutral and you don't have to worry about it. Simple as that.

yes it can be done but I won't recommend it this girl I dated a while back her bro. had one on his manual car and she started it while standing in front of the car an it ran her over and messed up her knee cap she had to get surgery. Just be careful if you do get it.
