Relocating the alt. but keeping PS and AC

Has anyone relocated their alternator to the bottom of their engine bay, but kept their power steering and air conditioning? I am debating whether or not to yank my PS and AC, but I would definately like to relocate the alternator. I'd like to see some pics if you have them. I've seen some of the brackets available from Madman and others, but I'm not into spending $150+ for a $10 or so piece of metal. I am planning on making my own brackets, I just need some ideas.

just curious as to why you want to go through all that just to relocate? are you trying to run tall valve covers?

Taller valve covers are part of it. I'd just like to get it out of way to make more room to work and clean up the engine bay. Its really not much trouble at all, just making a bracket (I have access to a mill) and then re-routing the belt.

no clue where you would put it on the passenger side. you might be able to fab something up to put it where the air pump used to be. thats the only place i can see if going with ac and ps still being on the car.

I've seen where the alternator was relocated to the AC location with the Madman bracket but I don't see how you could relocate it without removing the A/C. Didn't know it could go where the PS is but I guess anything is possible with enough work.

I've seen some pics of a guy who moved it to the lower driver's side. I'm getting rid of my air pump in about a week or so. Oh, I'm also going to make a motor plate, so I might be able to mount it off that. I just wanted to get some ideas from people.

you could get it in the driver side bottom. thats where my procharger mounts so there should be room. will need to relocate some things obviously.

I thought about this a while back and figured it was to much of a PITA to do so I left it where it is. Probably going with LT4 covers
