Mike,

Excellent write-up about the LT1 service issues. Only issues I've had are the intake leak, timing cover leak (tightened the bolts), transmission tailshaft ext. housing replacement and a couple of other non-drivetrain related things that were fixed under warranty. I'm sure your experience will help alot of people. I'm waiting for some sign of spring before I put the Z28 back on the road. Take care.

Louie,

Thanks, By the way, the suspension parts I got from you are going on this weekend
Also, I plan on fixing that exhaust bolt and getting the car on the road by Monday.

Just ordered the cmotorsports.com cam kit with 1.6 roller rockers too. Those should be in the car sometime in April

Cant wait for spring myself.

Mike,

How big a cam (specs)? We gotta go to Ubly after you get the cam in to see what it'll do.

Heres the package I got from Cmotorsports.com
Plus I got the order in on time and they included a set of hardened pushrods for free!!

N224K
Includes:
Comp Cams Xtreme Energy 224/230 Cam .536"/.544" Lift
Comp Cams Pro Magnum 1.6 Rocker Arms, Self Aligning
CM612 Valve Springs
CM126 Chromoly Retainers
CM007 7 Degree Hardened Locks
Description: Our most popular cam, and for good reason. This cam makes great
power everywhere, but really shines in the midrange and top end. Makes
excellent power with stock or ported heads. Not too wild for the street, but
not as mild as the 218.
RPM Range: 2800-6400

I sympathize with ya. The bummer is that there is no easy way (that I know if to check the catalyitic converter since the inlet end is welded directly to the y-pipe. IMHO, I think that's one of the reasons people are having such a hard time fixing the problem.
