Is rebuilding the cheapest thing to do?

Well my engine has to be rebuilt. I just put my hot cam etc on there and now its done. Should I have the motor rebuilt? Is that the cheapest thing for me to do? How much more for me to stroke it? And the last question ... Since its probably getting rebuilt what do I need to do to beef it up for a supercharger if I get one? Okay one more question ... what kinda money am I looking at for a rebuild?

What's went wrong with it after you put the hotcam in? I assume you spun a bearing or something? If you want a good inexpensive rebuild kit I would look at the ones Summit sells, I think they go for $4-500 for new forged or stock pistons, and all the bearings and gaskets etc. Obviously a bit more $$$ to stroke it or build for boost.
