Rebuild w/o Block Work?
Rebuild w/o Block Work?
I spun cam bearings and need to rebuild. Do I need to have any work done to the block if the cylinders look fine? I am on a pretty slim budget and am thinking about rebuilding it myself.
Okay, if I am going to have to have block work done anyway, and am buying a new crank anyway, and a new cam anyway, is there any reason I wouldn't want to do a 383 with stock heads for now? I know that stock heads aren't great for a 383 and I would upgrade the heads in a year or so. How would a 383 with stock heads do compared to a 355 with stock heads?
