Im looking to rebuild my 190K mile Z and I was wondering if anyone knew of any kits that had a reduced weight rotating assembly? If not im just going to get a kit off of Summit. Thanks guys!

Re: rebuild kits

My goal is to have a driveable 11 second car. If not 11 second 400 horses would be nice.

Re: rebuild kits

if you want to stay on a god budget, and plan to stay under a 150 shot or high boost... use stock powdered netal lt1 rods, redone stock lt1 crank, a good hypereutectic piston or a forged one. summit sells a forged piston revuold kit forlt1s with everything for like 550. sealed power pistons i think. looks like a winner to me. heads and cam are your choice, and there is a sea of options

Re: rebuild kits

Summit sells a couple of engine kits... but the best combo for what you want would be best by buying the right items seperately. Most kits I've seen have strong pistons an ok Crank and ok rods, or a strong Crank with ok rods, and oK pistons. When you figure out what you want. You'll realize that the components offered in the off the shelf kits may not include right combination of pieces that will help you get the motor you want.
