Rebuild a4?

well something is wrong, and its probably something small but there is a dent in my tranny oil pan and my tranny leaks oil

so do u think it would be smarter to rebuild tranny maybe put in a shift kit, and how much would that cost

or should i wait a little longer and replace the a4 with a m6, and im estimating that to be around 3000 if i do it myself

I'd say do nothing until it stops working, or doesn't work well.
I had my A4 rebuilt, and it cost me $2200, with performance and heavy duty parts, with an optional lifetime warranty, which covers everything unless I take a hammer to my tranny.
However, I am seriously thinking about converting to a M6. It would cost $1500 for a used M6, and all the parts needed.

Damn some of you guys spend alot on tranny rebuilds.
I pulled mine out took it downtown to a very reputable tranny builder and he did a performance rebuild on it for 750. I put it in with a TCI converter so I guess I spent about 1200 total.
I would keep your auto if you want to be consistent at the track.
I have a shift kit and the stall and I don,t need no stinkin manual. I like 6 speeds they are cool but I like a decent built automatic so much more.
Just a matter of taste I guess.
