reasons the car wont idle

what are the possible reasons a car wont idle(to get it to start you have to hold foot on accelerator when you realese foot off accelerator it dies.

possible reasons besides aic?

Make sure your MAF is plugged in. Also check your for vacume leaks. Just some ideas sure there are more
