ANY adhesive you use will melt in the sun and when you get back to your car the rear view mirror will be alying on the floor. I suggest just replace it.

so you pulled the mirror off of the metal button that is stuck to the windshield? or did you pull the whole thing off?

if the metal button came off they make kits to stick it back on....cost like $2 and takes like 5 minutes to fix. if you broke the plastic of the mirror then jsut get a new mirror!!

FYI some usless info for you....the place I worked while in college made those metal mirror mounts. they are made from compressed powder stainless steel....made on a 100 ton press, then ran through a sintering furnace. place is in janesville wisconsin and called SSI Technologies....sintered specialties division. also make gears for saginaw, and the metal things that went in the pasta makers you could buy at the store, and little magnets thatwere very strong and various other parts but mostly mirror mounts. thousands a day I would make.

if the metal is still stuck then the mirror should jsut slide back on unless you broke the plastic then you will need a new mirror. as for the kits to stick the metal thing back to the window they can be found at any auto parts store, or even walmart in the auto department.....but it doens't sound like you need that!!
