Rear end recipe

I have seen some pretty impressive quarter mile times from 12.00 NA to 11.00 NO2. I have also seen 60 foot times from 1.40 to 1.90 with ET Streets and stock rear ends. How are you guys keeping these rear ends together? How much abuse will these rear ends handle? I install a set of richmond 4.10s and broke them playing on the street. my 3.42s are holding up for now but the best 60 time I've cut was 1.89. Should I even be concered about the rear end yet? What is your thoughts?
