Rear end question

I recently changed the rearend fluid in my z, i got some oil on the filter when replacing it causing a slow leak i noticed after sitting a couple days, question is, when i put a new cover on , the magnet wasn't glued , it had broke off, when i put the cover on i didn't put the magnet on, when i replace the fluid next time, shortly, what should i usee to glue that magnet on and make sure it will stay on throught the heat of the rearend, or doesn't the magnet matter much.
Thanks

Re: Rear end question

Yes, the magnet matters.... It pulls metal out of the fluid.... As for glueing back on, clean the cover with brake cleaner, then soap/water.. Dry and I think 3M part #08001(aka; gorrila snot) might hold it in place.....Not sure though...
