Rear caliper mounting bracket

I am replacing my rear calipers, and I need to remove the mounting bracket. Looking at the new calipers, what I thought was a bolt holding them on looks to be a pin. How do I remove the pin? Are the brackets pressed on some how?

I'm a little fuzzy on what you are doing. You are replacing the complete caliper? Why do you need to remove the mounting bracket (plate)? Calipers are merely bolted to the mounting plate.

Thanks for the reply. I'm not replacing the mounting plate on the axle, the piece that bolts up to the mouting plate. It's part #18020432. (Got that from your parts manual I downloaded.)

The calipers I bought don't have this piece (I thought for sure they would), so I have to take it off of my old calipers.
