Rear brakes... don't work.
Okay... my rear brakes don't do anything. I had the rear up on jackstands the other day, started the car and put it in gear (making sure that my posi wasn't completely gone yet). Everything seems to be working fine.
Press the brakes to put the car in park, start to move the shifter up and for some reason I looked at the rear tires before I went past nutral, and they are still spining. My foot it on the brake and they are still spining. I can't figure it out.
I have bled them, several times, and with no results.
The brake light is also on, and I know that when the parking brake is on, when the light is on, the rear brakes are disengaged. I tried grounding out the senser for the parking brake, but it still stays on.
Besides that my ABS INOP light is also on, I don't even know where to begin... any ideas?

If your brakes will not stop the tires even when pulling the E-brake, I would start by pulling the calipers off and making sure the slides are not siezed. If the caliper slides are siezed, the pads will never move in and touch the rotor. Try shutting off the engine, put the car in neutral, have someone press on the brakes or pull the E-brake and then go try to turn the wheels. If they turn, you know it is mechanical not the ABS releasing the brakes. I would check the calipers for proper operation, pad thickness and ensure there is no air in the brake lines.
I had the exact same problem
heres 2 scenarios
1.You may have a bad ABS Modulator.
What I did is take mine off took the ABS system apart cleaned all the peacies and put it back in the car (easier said than done)
2. I had those crappy Earls solo brake Bleeders and I tightened them to hard when I put them on. THe Spring was kind of stuck and the proper fluid ratio wasn't comming out..also one of the springs came out entirely and got stuck in the bleeder port. Don't know if you have those or not...another common problem though.
3. Try taking the screws out all the way then mash the brake pedal to check the fliuid flow. If your getting less than you should it might be the ABS modulator.
4. Also check your Mastercylinder..that too may be the cause. When I pulled my ABS system off my car I took the Mastercylinder out and filled it up with Cleaner and manually pumped it to get all the trash out.
