Is it really a Rod Knock? Updated info inside!

In my old post about a month ago or so, my engine died on me at a red light after I had gotten on it from the light before it. I turned it on a it sounded as if I had a rod knock, but wasn't sure. I drove it to the next parking lot and left it there until the next day. I pulled the valve covers and ran it, didn't notice anything wrong.

Car maintains good oil pressure and still doesn't have any metal shavings present in the oil.

Today, I decided to go look at it more. I ran it till it was warmed up; still good oil pressure and no metal shavings. At one point the knocking/tapping stopped for a brief couple seconds and started back up again(this was at idle). The car started to run a little ruffer and smoke started to come from my turndowns. When I turned it off, the ground underneath my turn downs was covered with thin layer of gas/oil residue. It was also dripping from the tip of the turndowns.

Just for your info, this is the first time the car has actually been ran for more than a few minutes since it died on me at the light. I had it towed home and never drove or ran it again.

I was thinking that it could be a lifter. I talked my friend that owns a mechanic shop and he told me to check the spark plugs, and injectors.

What do you guys think is going on. I still don't think it is a rod knock. Why would the sound stop for a couple seconds and start back up?

Tell me what you think?

First off i know very little about things breaking down,
If I were you though, I would take the half-hour and check to be sure the push-rods are all tightened properly. That is the only thing i could think of starting and stoping.
But remember what i said first so don't make fun if this is a retarded idea.

Well the 5 minutes I had it running it blew a headgasket. My oil is milky, the radiator half full, and when it was running it was smoking white out the exhaust.

I have no idea what is going on.
