really need help with this

my clutch in my car is pretty much toast. stilling working but i wont to change it before it goes out on me. i wont to try to do this myself. i was reading my chilton mauel and it seems pretty easy and straight forward. i have never done a clutch before. so what i am asking is what kind of clutch is the best to get and where is the lowest prices around. and also if anyone has any pointers what so ever about anything that can make this clutch job go alot easier is greatly appreciated. also do you think i should go with a performance clutch or a stock one. i dont have any heavy modifications for the engine for at least another 20 to 30 thousand miles. i wonna save up enough money to do it all at once. and i am doing the suspension and chassis first too. so someone please help me out.

come on there is noone out there. does anyone know of any web site with pictures that can help me. i have both a haynes and chilton manuel and it seems really straight forward. this is the clutch that i bought to put in my car(tried to get the cheapest one i can to hold me over until i get all my chassis and suspension stuff doing.) then i will be moving on to the engine. can anyone tell me anything that i need to replace along with the clutch. or anything else that i need to buy besides an alignment tool. thanks in advance for all the help

I just finshed doing mine yesterday it wasent too hard being the first time i have ever changed a clutch, make sure you have LOTS of extentions to get the top right bolt of of the tranny, and when you are taking the tranny off make sure you pull the clutch fork off of the releace bearing on the clutch other then that it is pretty hard to mess it up. My car is mostly stock and I but in a Really good clutch, and i have no complantes as of yet. also if you do a search on it there is a few pictures you can find. Good luck with yours.
