Real easy LT1 Tech Question.....

Forgive me, well forgive my brain, I have having one of those moments....

When reinstalling the crank hub on a LT1 does it go on just like any sbc? Or is there some other way?

Also, putting the cam in, dots facing each other(cam dot down, crank dot up), or is the dots facing the same direction? Does it even matter?

Re: Real easy LT1 Tech Question.....

The crank hub goes on with the cast in arrow in the 12 o'clock position with the cylinder #1 at top dead center.
The cam gear can only go one way. Align the cam and crank timing dots so they are facing each other. Crank at 12 and cam at 6.
