Raytech Solid Pinion Spacer?
Raytech Solid Pinion Spacer?
I plan on installing some Nitto dr's and to help my crappy rear-end hold up, I bought a MAC rear girdle. I also heard that the Raytech Solid Pinion spacer helps alot by preventing the pinion from moving around. Has anyone done this, heard of it, or know ANYTHING about it?
I have about 360rwhp in m6 LT1 w/heads, cam and LT's etc. Do you think my rear will hold with the install of the Nitto's?
Thanks
Andy

I have one in my car. You can buy one from Summit racing for 18$

It is an excellent piece of hardware to use but it isn't as simple as bolting it up like the girdle. You need to remove the cover, carrier, driveshaft, yoke, seals, bearings, follow a procedure to shim the new solid spacer, and reinstall everything (preferably with new bearings) and recheck/adjust the gear specs.
