Rattle at idle?
Rattle at idle?
When i'm at idle, there is a noticable grind/rattle type noise from underneath the car. When you engage the clutch, it goes away, when you disengage the clutch, it comes back. I've come to the conclusion its clutch related.
What i'm wondering is... do all stock clutches do that? Nothing slips, car grabs badass and barks 2nd. Doesn't chirp 3rd at all though, but don't think its supposed to.
Theres also a loudass rattle when at low rpms when pulling away in any gear basically. But only from like 900-1300 rpms.
Any ideas?

Re: Rattle at idle?
Sounds like the throwout bearing. I believe it can be changed on it's own, but you have to remove the entire clutch to get to it, so it would make sense to do the clutch if you have any reservations about the one that's in there right now.
