Bingo. Run your tank dry and count on killing your fuel pump. They use the fuel to lubricate the moving parts, so you're screwed.

Yea. Even if you run it out of gas, the bottom of the fuel pump has a filter on it (sock) and then it runs through a fuel filter as well. I would be looking at the pump. It misses under WOT because it isnt supplying enough fuel to the motor to wind out like that. Your running it really lean, and thats not good for the motor. Get a new pump and drive it as little as possible until you replace it. If the pump goes, the car will die on you somewhere and your NOT gonna be able to drive it home.

I've ran mine dry twice, nearly three times, and my pump is fine. Mind you, not on purpose of course. Good luck I reckon.

Its the fuel pump. Get the Racetronix kit, cut a hole in your hatch area and swap it out. Mine did the same thing.

Buying a fuel pressure guage would also tell you alot about where the problem is. If your PSI is good then maybe its your injectors, if its bad its the pump or filter.

www.racetronix.com

High quality pump.... $250 with the harness, 150 without...

If you dont want to drop the rear and gas tank to change the fuel pump...search "Trap door method" in this LT1 fourm

Perhaps there is too much sediment in the tank and running it low also caused it to suck up a bunch?

It's best to remove the tank and rinse it out before installing a new pump.

Re: Ran Car Out Of Gas-misses Now

my car does the same thing ....

when I get into boost sometimes....not all the time ...but most I would say 9 out of 10 ....the car bucks hard over 4500rpm and when I watch it on the scanner I get a little knock and my wide band spikes lean for a split second ..like a flash

I thought it was my injectors.. I have a set of SVO 42lb that only have 5000 miles on them .....but I run a 105,000 mile stock intank and the inline that came with my procharger.... am I running out of fuel aswell?

That could be alot of it. You better get a FP gauge on it though before you blow it up.
