RAM Adjustable Master Cylinder.

I went out and brought one of those ram Adjustable master cylinders... and am trying to install it into my car... to take care of the dissengaging problem... my question is... Would I want to adjust the screw in wards more... or ******ds more... to get the cluth Fork to release better? I'm only puzzled because htis thing is about mayne 1/4th of an inch longer than stock... which doesn't seem like much to me... but there's enough threading to make it shorter than stock... so that's why I'm puzzled. Do I make it longer or shorter???

THanks
