Unhappy radiator question

Well I just got a new radiator installed a couple days ago... and today it seems to be leaking bad.... I cant really look into it too much at the moment because its pretty hot. But just looking at it, it seems that the low coolant sensor popped out somehow. I cant see it all too well, but it looks like it plugs into the radiator like a cork. If so, thats the source or my leak right? If anyone knows please fill me in. thanks

There is a retainer that holds in place.

I can't confirm the mount since I've never replaced one. But I doubt that it is pressure fit. Considering that the radiator goes up to 16 PSI with heat, I doubt a pressure fit will hold. Likely a tab may have been damaged on the connector or mount that locks it into place.

Shoebox, we replied at the same time. In fact, I was just looking on your website to find him an illustration. Great job again!

Unhappy

where are those wire clips supposed to be attached to? Because they appear to come right off with the whole unit...

I assume they lock on to the bracket on the radiator to keep the sensor from popping off.

Did you lose any coolant when it popped out? Then you might have an overheat condition. Mine has never popped off so I am not certain that you would lose coolant.

Seems like you caught it in time. Typically any type of pressure loss (leak) would lower the boiling point. Air bubbles from the boil will create hot spots in your reverse cooled heads. Those hot spots can warp and cause problems down the road. Just to be sure, did you use the two bleeder valves to remove the air from your system. I'd double check and do it regardless of what the radiator shop says... just to be safe.
