radiator overflow hose position

Is the radiator overflow hose near the radiator cap supposed to be mounted on the top nipple closest to the cap or the one below it ?
I have been having over-flow problems when shutting my engine down.
My mechanic installed it to the lower one and the other hose above it....I don't think this is right.

The tube for the overflow is right on the side of the neck for the radiator cap. If you think about it, that's the only place it could be.

Shoebox:

There are two hoses right below the cap on passenger side of the radiator.
My mechanic has the one going to the overflow BELOW the other hose.
Is this correct ?????
I don't think it is, based on the pics on your website.
Just looking for confirmation because I think this may be the reason my cooling system has no pressure in it ever, and why it blows out of the overflow almost everytime.

Engine is a fresh 383, but I have only began to notice this since it got hot here in Michigan.

The hose goes right on the neck. You can't miss it. It is the top hose. It can't work correctly any other way.

I didn't think the way he had it was right....no wonder my cooling system never has any pressure in the hoses.

Physically the lines can be installed that way but the system wont work right.
