What is the highest octane unleaded you can buy?

 

I believe it's a 104 sunoco.

 

110 unleaded at the race track.... 104 at the gas station...

 

Who makes the "110 unleaded" you can buy at the track? And is that (R+M)/2 octane?

Neither Sunoco Racing or VP Fuels makes a 110 unleaded for automobile engines. Some people mistake VP-110 for an unleaded fuel, but it contains 4.23 grams of lead per gallon.

 

Engines make the most HP on the curve of detenation. So over octaning dosen't due any good unless you are just trying to be extra safe or you are going to crank the timing way up. The highest octane we can buy around here is 100 unleaded at the pump.

 

i am in cali and there is no 110 unleaded, the highest I can find is 106 unleaded at close to 6 bucks a gallon

 

I think turbo blue makes an unleaded 110 octane, dont hold me to that though.
