R&R LT1 Engine question

Does anyone have a quick rundown of what to do when taking the engine and trans out through the bottom of a 97 firebird?

Re: R&R LT1 Engine question

Here's two links with photos of it being done. I have done two out the bottom a little differently but these should be a good reference for you. I have also done two out the top.....I prefer out the bottom.

Re: R&R LT1 Engine question

Two hours!! thats fast, where would be the best place to disconnect the exhaust, mine has what looks like duals half way back. One of my big concerns is making the header install go smoothly, passenger side seems like it would be hard otherwise, the thing is ... i bought a used set of BBk shorties and i'd like to have it hooked up to the pipes so i can just finish up by connecting it farther back where i have more room to work, tired of bloody knuckles
