I want to know if the pump is going out our is it something else.

When I go around a corner with any force it slips.

I am also unfamiliar with cornering making a transmission slip... It does not make sense to me.

If it "slips" only when going around the corner?, then it "is" low on fluid, despite the reading on the dipstick. Try adding a half a quart, (it might take as much as a quart) and see what happens.
