Quiet Exhaust?

Guys is there an exhaust that is quiet when crusing 40mph to about 80mph, so pretty much below 2000rpm and sounds good when you get on it? I was thinking magnaflow might cause they sounded damn good on my Iroc...flowmaster tends to drone and i don't want that.

I'm using the Magna flow muffler & love it. Sounds like the Glasspack that it is ! Quite at cruise.

Your magnaflow is a glasspack muffler?

Thats what I've been told. Straight thru design so they claim. Dynomax also uses glass packing, saw that on a cutaway display. But haven't seen a cutaway of a Magnaflow, yet. The sound to me is .... just right, not to loud & not to quiet.
They have a 3" inlet & 2 1/2" outlets, makes power.

its a little expensive but Corsa is really good at idle or cruising speed yet extremely powerful at WOT. Try www.corsaperf.com for sound clips and specs.

I would say hooker is a good one. That is what I have. I have no cats and headers and it sounds great. Doesnt drone at all while crusing but has a really powerful sounding top end.

My Borla is the shiznit. But fairly common. No one around here has one except my friend with an 02 Z28 that sounds like complete a$$. Its magical on an LT1 though. Heard nothing but good about Corsa but I cant justify the cost or I would have gone for it.

B & B tri flow and Corsa sound very nice, and are pretty quiet, but I would reccomend a cut out. That way you keep your stock exhaust for everyday and highway driving, and when you feel like cruisin, just uncap and instant 15rwhp and very loud. Then on the way home, cap it again and pull in the driveway. You will have more hp than an exhaust but also no drone with the stock exhaust.

I have an electronic cutout on my, its great. I put a midas lifetime warranty muffler on so when I want quiet, I run through that, the other 90% of the time, I openerup. Cutouts do sound great too, i get tonnes of compliments. If I were to go with a muffler setup, it would definitely be the hooker, I haven't heard a corsa yet, but I've heard most of the others and hooker had the best sound up top, didn't drone, and was quiet down low.

I'mkinda leaning towards a magnaflow if/when I do an exhaust...I thought glasspacks had nothing to do with whether or not it was chambered or straight through, I thought it was the material used to generate thesound???

this car totally justifies this exhaust. not to mention the quality of parts used. http://www.ls1motorsports.com/Project-Camaro.asp go back to the homepage to see the 9.94 video or go to http://www.agostino-racing.com/video.asp to see the same car's 8.92 time. does this not sound like pure badassness? I can justify $700 right there. I have a spintech/mufflex with hooker headers in my car right now but im totally getting these for the sound and beautiful tips. no cutout needed. (although i might do electric anyway)

another vote for the hooker aero chamber. Sounds near stock with a bit more "throat", but at high throttle/rpms, it sounds like another engine kicks in. It sounds amazing without a cat! Definitley worth the $80 i paid for it.
