Quick Tech- What size headers for almost stock lt1 street
I recently purchased a stainless exhaust for my 95 camaro and I am going to ahve it installed along with headers soon. This car is a street car with no real internal mods or ported heads and I am looking for drivability. I am not going for shorty headers and I heard that long tubes could cause some problems so I think I should take the halfway point and settle with shorties. What size tubes do I want? Here are the specs for the headers I have acess to. Are these good compares to hookers?
Thick 3/8" laser cut flanges, 1-5/8" , 16 gauge tubing. 4 into 1 collector design. Black paint finish. (Metallic-ceramic coating (Armor Coat) is available on these headers for an additional $125.
Should I go with these? they are made by pace setter. I thought this was a nice company.
Let me know guys thanks, Kurt

i have 1 3/4" MOST shorties are 1 5/8's though. If your not going to get big power later(<450) 5/8 should be OK. If your gonna go more power, get longtubes 1 3/4" or get some as&m's 1 3/4" shorties. ENjoy
