quick question regarding K member and motor

I am going to buy a tubular K member for my LT1, but would like to swap motors in the near future. Will a big block fit in the aftermarket k member, or would I need another new one specifically for a larger motor?

Re: quick question regarding K member and motor

Check out BMR fabrication, they have one that will work for both BBC and SBC.

Re: quick question regarding K member and motor

PA Racing makes k-member for '93-'02 F-Bodys. They are designed with either sbc,bbc,LS1 or LT1 mounts.

No one makes a K-Memeber that is universal between motors. The LS1, LT1, and SBC/BBC k-members are all different. I'm getting the BMR k-member for my BBC conversion. Do a search on k-members and you will find out some good info about most of the k-members available. If you are sticking with an LT1 I would also look at the UMI version as well.
