Quick Question! Help Asap

I was told I don't need to block off the EGR tube on the back of the intake manifold? The valve is in place, w/no vacuum to it and the solenoid unplugged. Is it going to get air in there if I don't block off the connection from the manifold?

I'd say just get some aluminum or cut a pop can the same size as the tube. Put it on the intake and then the tube, bolt it up and now it's blocked off.

Ok, but the question is, will air get into the intake manifold if I leave it opened, and the valve stays in place and stays closed?

Provided the EGR isn't clogged or stuck open, it is normally closed..
With the vacuum hose off it, it won't open..
