Quick question about the starter wires

There are 4 wires down in the starter area. 2 Obviously go to the solenoid, the red and the purple. Then there are 2 black wires, that look like grounds. Where are they supposed to be grounded? I tried grounding them to the dipstick tube bolt, but the car didn't turn over or click. I have a feeling the dipstick tube isn't a good enough ground, but I'm posting this just in case I missed something. I don't remember where the wires came off, the car has been sitting in pieces for months, and my memory sucks I tried shoebox's site, but its not working right now...

You should have a large wire coming from the battery (mine is black, maybe yours is red), going to the starter. Small purple wire goes to the starter also. Small black wire goes to a ground stud that is on the block above the starter and knock sensor. Small blue wire goes to knock sensor. Those are the only 4 I know of. Sorry, my server is down.

Just a follow up: There were 5 wires in the starter area, maybe 93's are different....the big black one goes to the starter, the purple one goes to the starter, blue to knock sensor, and then 2 little black ground wires. I forgot that I removed my cable trays, the 2 black ground wires were supposed to go on a stud on the cable tray. I just installed the stud along with the ground wires, and it fired right up. Thanks shoebox
