Quick question about removing header...

Im trying to remove my Edlebrock shorty header on the DRIVER side..just wondering after you have it all unbolted, whats the easiest way to remove it? From top or bottom?
Seems like puling it out from the top seems like its gonna be the way to go, but so far i keep hitting stuff. Think I need to take out my spark plugs ?

Also, do I need a gasket for where the header connects to the Y-pipe with the clamp? Or does it just clamp down tight? What ft/lbs for these bolts, 26?

Taking off the valve covers will get you a bit more clearance, too.

I have slip fit connections on my setup, but I think that you may need a donut gasket. I'm pretty sure you can get those at local auto parts places, if you know the size.

Re: Quick question about removing header...

Valve cover off, steering linkage off and it should have plenty of room to come out. I kept my plugs in.
