Quick Question

I just got done putting the car together, and I went to hook up the battery terminals, and when I put the 2nd one on, the car tries to start itself, what could be wrong here? Thanks Paul

what the car wants to start???!!!! are you hooking up the starter cable to the battery some how? does this happen when you put the ground cable on or the positive? im guessing you have your cables reversed from your starter to your battery some how.

relax gang. Its either a defective ignition switch (not likely since you just had the car apart) or the starter is shorting out on its self internally. The other option (and the most likely one) is that you hooked the wires up wrong and the hot wire is hooked to the crank post on the battery. no biggie. Prorac1

Make sure the metal terminal on the purple starter wire isnt touching the one on the big black starter wire.
