Quick pushrod and rocker question
You can here a clicking noise a little with the hood up on the drivers side, but with the hood down you can't hear it. Does this sound more like I need to do another valve adj or could it still be a bent pushrod? Also, would it be better to adjust the valves with the engine warmed up or cold?
I can also see marks on the top/inside of the valve cover where it looks like the nut from the roller rockers are hitting the valve cover. I put the correct preload on them. I have the GMPP 1.6rr w/ poly locks, stock length hardened pushrods, LT4 valvesprings, and the LT4 hotcam. Did anyone have to replace there valve covers b/c of this problem? I thought that with this setup you could keep the stock valve covers.

Re: Quick pushrod and rocker question
I have the same valvetrain setup on a stroker and run the stock valve covers, i had to modify mine but i have guide plates but they were not hitting on the top of valve covers.By the way roller rockers are a little noiser ya know, and if you had a bent push rod you would know it.I can also hear roller rockers a little but am told it is normal.
