quick lt1 swap question

quick lt1 swap question

i was just curious if the 3.8 v6 Y pipe coming off the manifold is compatible with the lt1

also is the drive shaft of the 3.8 compatible with the lt1

I dont think the ypipe or driveshafts are the same between the 2. You will need LT1 parts for both of these.

Pretty sure the V6 pipe would be way smaller, plus the bend configuration would probably not match anyway.

I would not trust the 2 piece driveshaft under the power of the LT1. You should be able to swap an LT1 driveshaft in without a problem, though. You will have to remove the intermediate bearing assy that is part of the 2 piece shaft you have now.
