QUICK Help Please, Removing Oil Cooler?

QUICK Help Please, Removing Oil Cooler?

I wanna mess nuthin up, whats the best way to remove this oil cooler or at least clean in, im kinda in the process of changin oil now and i decided i should clean it. Please help

I just removed the lines to get at my oil pan bolts. The lines are held on to the housing by one bolt. It was a pita to get that bolt loose. Then they just came right off, but be careful because there are seals for each tube that can rip.

oh yeah there is also a nut on the front driver side oil pan stud that holds them in place. Then just unclamp your hoses.

ok thanks man, i cleaned it out with engine degreaser then washed out with water then dried with a dryer, sound ok ?

Why don't you just remove it? I didn't notice any difference in running temperatures and its not needed.

yes sounds good, let us know how much diffrence there is on the oil pressure when you get it all completed

Same here. Rodrigues, did you notice a change in your oil pressure after removing the cooler?

ok if you remove it what do you screw your oil filter into, when i pulled off the cooler there were two shafts sticking down along with the cooler input shaft that prohibited my oil filter from screwing on.

o yeah if i knew how to get that filter on i would have, o yeah the oil cooler itself was an upgrade from the dealership, allot of 95 camaros and transams didnt even come with them

You need two 5/16-18 1" bolts to replace the studs...
