Re: quick gm847 question

My new cam lift specs are .608/.578. I'm also running Comp R lifters, "Beehive" springs and the GMPP 1.6 roller rockers. I was curious about the .575 lift limit on the rockers, so I assembled one of the cylinders, spun it over a few times and *nothing* came close to hitting or binding in the valvetrain. The only problem I have is that the valve covers don't seem to want to seat all the way not. Not real sure if there is a clearance issue with the rockers or if it's something else at this point but I'm working on it.

Re: quick gm847 question

Your rocker arms are more than likely hitting your stock valve covers.

Re: quick gm847 question

Just got it sorted out- no clearance problems with the GMPP 1.6 rockers, the problem was headstuds hitting the bracing under the valve covers. I clearanced that now everything fits just fine.

Good to hear. I am glad you got it all taken care of.

The worst problems are the one's you dont know why they are happening.
