I was wondering if anyone is running the XE 224/230 on a 111 LSA? I want a mean sounding cam. Just curious on what you guys think?

 

I doubt anyone is, I cant imagine its that much different that one extra degree would help or sound much different to spend more for a custom grind. But i could be wrong.

 

So most of you guys are running the 112 LSA? I just want something that lopes more than the Hot Cam. I have heard a sound clip of it and like it, but just wanted some feedback. I also have done a lot of searching and did search this cam. Thats why I want it so bad.

 

Yeah I understand man. Trust me you can tell theres a cam. All of last summer I had like 2 people ask me what I did to my car, just random strangers on the road, that was with just exhaust. In two weeks Ive had like 5 strangers ask me if I have a cam or whats done to it, and a ton of non fast cars jokingly F around with me, like a limo for example, they just want to hear it rip. Theres no mistake there is a cam in there, but its not as extreme as a 230/236, but if you wanted that kind of lope i think you wouldve chose that cam, if you are worried about not being able to hear the cam, dont worry, its there. And you can sure as **** feel it too, the torque starts right at 2k and is about full force at 2500, its awesome.

 

we put an XE cam into my buddies car & its a 230/236 with stock heads/rockers & mac headers, thing has no cam surge even with the stock tune, drives so nice

Thanks for input guys. I'm going to be ordering the XE 224/230 cam along with Hooker shorties coated this weekend. You guys have me convinced.

 

are you just getting the cam or are you getting rr's and all the other "kit" items? I was thinking of JUST getting the cam.
