Questions about running a single plane intake with EFI
Questions about running a single plane intake with EFI
Can you still run a single plane intake setup without using a aftermarket pcm?
I ask this becuse I figure that the throttle body would have some kind of a tps sensor on it, and they must all send the same basic signal? Correct me if I am wrong.
Also, what are the chances that it would still be able to clear a stock Firebird hood? I understand that there will need to be a fabricated induction system made.
Please leave your input.

I have never done this but I dont see why you couldnt unless Im overlooking something.
About the clearance issue... probably depends on the intake you want but Ive never seen a conversion that fits under the stock hood.

Hotrodhawk has one on her bird. He is on motown muscle and do not know if he goes on this board. sure he can give you more of an idea.

You can run a single plane intake with the stock computer, you just might need to extend or cut a few wires to length. As far as fitting under a stock hood... possibly. Fitting under the cowl... probably not without getting out the sawzall. You should PM Bret if you're considering it, he has done quite a few conversions.
