Questions about Pacesetter LT's

I have made the decision that i'm going to get some Pacesetter LT's but i'm bent on emissions/no emissions. I do not have to worry about smog stuff or anything like that. I really don't want to have to screw around with that little EGR tube on the back of the header cause it looks like its a pain in the *** to hookup and it would leak. So can i just pinch that EGR tube shut and leave it like that? I figured i'd get AIR and EGR programmed out with a tune (possibily LT1 Edit by Creech ).

Another thing, Do i HAVE to get new plug wires? I don't see why i can't just leave them in the same spot and if absolutely necessary get those little flexible tubing sheilds.

Finally, I have had P0133 (bank 1 sensor 1 slow response) for about 8 months now (I have replaced this 02 sensor many times, doesnt fix it. I just keep erasing the code cause the car runs ok). Will these LT's really cause the motor to run crappy because of the extended length btw engine gas source and 02 sensor?

Thanks guys

very simple, couple bolts, and i think some say that you have to cut away the metal tubing. it's really simple if you do it while the manifolds are off-before you install the LT's. also, if you're getting your pcm tuned, just have them get rid of your rear o2's, that solves that problem right there.
BTW, i've upgraded to the pacesetter LT's w/ORY & they're awesome.

No need to get new plug wires. I would get the emission free if you don't have to worry about smog tests. As for the o2 problem, that is the front sensor, tuning out the rears won't take care of that code. If you are using bosch o2s that might be your problem, I had alot of trouble with them before switching back to the delcos. You will need to get the rears tuned out or get o2 sims so you don't get an ses light. I removed the egr and air pump/lines, cleans up the engine bay alot.

Re: Questions about Pacesetter LT's

I have 02 sims in the rear..I think i will go with non emissions headers..

I've tried Bosch's and Delco's...delcos are in there now...i think i have a small leak at the y-pipe flange really close to the sensor on the driver's side manifold..i think that is causing the problem cause i never had the code until i gutted that driver's side cat and i broke a stud off when i tried to put it back on..thanks guys

Also..can i block off that EGR tube at the end of the tube and not at the manifold..how hard is it to install those plates on the back of the intake?

The blockoff plates are very easy to install on the back of the intake, maybe 10 minutes.
