questions about Comp cams XE 224/230 cam

Can i use the Comp cams XE 224/230 with stock valve springs?

What stall do i need with this cam?

Is this cam too big for daily use?

no, id advise the 918 beehive springs, ex 612s or k-800's

id go with a 3000-3200 stall

Well my heads were just redone with the old stock shimmed springs. This cam wont work with stock springs huh? MMM too bad for me!

That was a great daily driver cam

As mentioned about the springs, there's no way in hell I'd try stock springs with that cam. That's just asking to throw $ out the window after the damage occurs.

For stall, it depends on your gears and use of the car with that cam IMO.

I agree with all the guys saying don't use stock springs!!!

The lobes on this cam are too steep for stock springs... you're just tempting fate if you try it. I'm using the 918 beehives.

The cam is no problem for daily driving... even the gas mileage isn't too bad. There's just enough of a humpity-hump idle to let everyone know it's not stock, but it idles fine (@900) and drives great.

I think it is a great cam. Pulls nicely in the upper RPM, too.
