I am about to purchase some Crane Gold 1.6 R/R's for LT1. Will the complete stock valve train handle these? The seller says that the stock valve springs should work, anyone know for sure? Also, will there be any difference in sound, since the valves will be open more? Does anyone know what the specs on the stock cam are with 1.6's? And finally, does anyone know where I can find how-to on modd'ing valve covers to fit 1.6's?

Yes the stock springs will hold the 1.6 ratio rockers as long as you retain your stock cam and keep your rev limiter relatively low if you have an auto...if you have a manual just watch your high revs...

by the way, the 1.6 rockers will fit under your stock valve covers with no problem...
