Question For LT1 Guys...HELP

Question for LT1 Guys
A friend of mine has a 1996 LT1 Trans Am and just a few minutes ago he was goin about 70 on the highway and it just died on him. He said he lost all power...all electrical was working still. He can try to crank it, and it just wont turn over. It wants too, but no go. we tried to jump it and that didnt work either. Any suggestions to try on his car. He just got it barley 3 months ago and he dosent know anything about LT1's and I have a LS1 so I am just as clueless. Any help would be great!

Hey Steph see if his coil wire came off his coil by chance. If not that then it sounds like an opti problem to me. His fuel pump may have died also.

That happened to me in my blazer. It was the ignition cotrol module. Check to see if it's getting fire and it might be that.

Re: Question For LT1 Guys...HELP

Well if you say that the motor won't even turn over...I'd say that your buddies problem is alot deeper than the opti or the fuel pump. He may want to consider a possible mechanical engine failure.
