Question on Injectors and Lifters
Question on Injectors and Lifters
Alright so I've decided to go with LE2 Cam and Heads Package. It has a few reccomendations to go along with it to make maximum power one being new Injectors. For the LE2 package it says 32-36lbs injectors. I was thinking of going with 32 because for now I'm thinking this will be the final thing I do to this car, but hey haven't we all said that before? So I was thinking to be safe I'd just go with 36's. Now to the question...where would you guys reccomend I buy them and what brand should I go with, more importantly? I'm also looking into lifters as well seeing as mine have 125,xxx miles on them and a few of them are getting pretty loud. Again where should I get them and what brand? Thanks a lot for any help!
I would go atleast 36lb just incase of further modding. Alot of people run the ford racing injectors, or racetronix. I think www.thunderracing.com has them, they are a supporting vendor and nice to do business with. No idea on your lifters.
EDIT: just rememerd ls7 lifters, not sure where to buy them im sure the dealer has them, but make sure you shop around for them.

Alright thanks, but I'm looking at Thunder Racing and I see both types you mentioned yet neither look like they have 36lbs. For that matter it doesn't look like they have between 32 and 36 either...here's the link http://www.thunderracing.com/catalog...vid=4&pcid=163 can you let me know which one I should be looking at because I think I'm missing something here. Thanks again!
I just bought these for my LE2 setup. Racetronix 37#, very nice injector IMO. Good price too. I got all 8 for $300.

The new bosch design is one of the better ones for what you're doing, the 36lb fast injectors and i believe now the ford svo injectors are this design.
Look on youtube for videos of the spray patterns that the different injectors make.
36lb is what you need, i've tuned a few cars with 30's and usually by 6000rpm you end up with a 99% duty cycle. I dont like for them to run much past 80% duty.
ls7 lifters from scoggin dickey, cost a little over 100 dollars.

Make sure it's your lifters first of all. It could be the rockers being looser after so many miles.
For just a cam swap, there isn't any reason why you couldn't get some Crane replacement lifters. They are better than stock, but won't kill your wallet.
Also, make sure you get a tune for the new injectors and cam before you run it.
