Ok, I've been popping p0430 for a while now. My question is this. If I cut the cat out and just weld in a pipe, can I get the pcm programmed to not recognize that code anymore?? I am really sick of that damn light being on now.

 

oh, i forgot. P0430 is (Catalyst system efficiency below threshold Bank 2)

 

As long as you know your cat is not clogged or something, you could put in O2 sims and be done with it. If you have emissions testing, you might have to replace the cat anyway.
