question on changing from non vented to vented opti....

I'm going to do a cam swap, and i will be converting to a vented opti in my 94. my question is... what is all involved in hooking up the vented optispark harnesses? I know i have to buy a vented opti harness, and i need to know if i splice this into some other wires or what? thanx

There is no wire splicing. It connects just like the non-vented one. It's possible you might have to make a small "adjustment" to the connector shell where the harness plugs in up by the EVAP solenoid.

shoebox, by "small adjustment" do you mean shaving the plastic piece inside of the connector? the vented harness has 2 alignment "pins" and the non vented only has the one.

Is there any benefit to making the switch? I've heard the vented ones go bad too. I'm about 95% sure its my opti... Again!
